Cast: Willy McIntosh as Ahwat Angie Hasting as NaPhat Nadia Minttawich as Dah Mann Supakeit as Janetum
Marriage is a bond between two people who wishes to spend the rest of ones life together. When you are forced into a situation without your consent, certain obstacles are set into place. Naphat is a strong willed young woman, who comes from a warm middle class family. Her work ethics are superb earning her the title of 'Employee of the Year'. She has a very sweet and caring friend, Deelop, who has deeper feelings for her than just friends, a teenage sister with a very cunning mouth, and, unfortunately, a father who has a gambling problem.
The Tuwannon household is strictly run by Ahwat. He is the older brother of Dah and Yuit. They love him very much and respect him even more, as a parental figure in their lives. Ahwat is strict, stubborn and likes things his way, some say he has the face of a stone. Dah and Yuit are very much controlled by their older brother. Yuit is very much in love with Nan, a sweet young woman, who loves him. But their love is forbidden by Ahwat, he has no respect for Nan's family because of their bad family name. After Nan and Yuit got into an argument, they got into a car accident. That was the last straw, Ahwat prohibited Yuit to see Nan again. The only way he would be able to do this, is if he found a proper wife for Yuit.
After seeing Naphat at the banquet, where she received her 'Employee of the Year' award, he decided that she would be his new sister in law. Ahwat found out about her father's debt and used it against her. She would have to marry Yuit in order to pay off her father's debt. At first, she was resistant, but after speaking to Yuit and learned about his current problem, she decided to help him. They would marry to make Ahwat happy, but she would permit him to see Nan. Yuit and Dah and the rest of the household was very happy that Naphat would soon be apart of the family. They both agreed to be married in name only, they also convinced Ahwat that they didn't need a marriage license right away. Nan and Naphat meet and both became friends immediately. Nan was very hesitatent at first, but Naphat was very persuasive in convincing her that she and Yuit were just friends.
The marriage hurt a lot of people, including Deelop, Naphat's friend. He's poor, but he has the heart of a true soldier. It was very hard for him to accept the fact that the one he loved was getting married, but Dah helped him realize that there is more to life than just one woman. Dah is involved with Janetum. They are secretly dating, because their relationship would not be approved by Ahwat. Janetum is using Dah only for her money and she has no idea. Janetum has a failing business and a gambling problem.
Ahwat and Naphat's relationship is very messy. She resents him because he was the one who forced her into marriage and changed her life. She's constantly challenging him and his views on life. His way of thinking and attitude is a complete mystery to her. Her warmness and his coldness collide whenever they talk or meet. Ahwat is trying to convince her to make her marriage work, with his brother. Naphat is tearing him apart for ruining his own brother's happiness. A very passionate love hate realationship.
A very annoying thorn in Ahwat's side is Vithra, a model with the tongue as ugly as a witch. Her main goal in life is to marry Ahwat for his fortune. Her main ally in her scheme is Janetum. Later, they also develop a more than just friend's relationship. With Naphat's influence, Dah decides to marry Janetum. She wants that freedom to choose what she wants to do instead of having her brother pick her future. Janetum is more than willing to get married. Dah thought she was marrying for love, but in reality, she was doing it to spite her brother and desperately trying to convince him to accept her decision. He did not.
Nan and Yuit have also been seeing each other more often. Both Yuit and Naphat try to convince Ahwat that Nan is a sweetheart. She finally got through to him, with some inspirational words at the hospital. Naphat and Ahwat got into a car accident and Naphat was hurt badly. He felt like he was the one to blame since he had been drinking. Nan said that she wouldn't blame him because she knew how it felt to be blamed for hurting the one that she loved. During most of the time in the hospital, Ahwat was always at Naphat's side. By this time, both had feelings for each other, but it would be scandalous to reveal it. Vithra couldn't stand the affection Ahwat was giving Naphat, so she decided to give the newspapers a scoop about how Ahwat and his sister in law were getting a little too close. That was a wake up call to Ahwat, and he decided to stay away from Naphat. Yuit knew that they had feelings for one another, but wasn't quite sure.
Naphat was about to leave the house since Ahwat finally allowed Yuit and Nan to be together. He didn't want her to leave, but he couldn't do anything about it. Ahwat always thought that she was involved with many guys including, Deelop and Nan's older brother. He was mad because she said that she might go to one of them when she left, which of course was lie. But he didn't know this, so in front of her he declared that he was going to marry Vithra. Her heart sank and he knew he made a mistake. A few days later, Ahwat kissed her and told her that he loved her and wanted her to stay. She thought he was lying, since he was engaged already.
Dah finally got married. After a few months together, Dah followed Janetum to Vithra condo and heard him say that he only married her for money, that she wasn't giving him and that he didn't love her. She ran away and fell into the arms of Deelop. She stayed at his house for some time. The house was in a frenzy looking for her, it delayed Naphat from leaving the house. After a few days of searching, they finally found her through Deelop. Dah went home and Ahwat accepted her back. Dah broke it off with Janetum, and told Ahwat that Vithra was involved with Janetum. That got Vithra thrown out of the house.
By this time Naphat had already left the house and was back at home. She did miss them, but there was nothing she could do. The one she loved didn't love her back and never came looking for her. Ahwat finally arrived one day at the house. They told him that she was leaving the country for good, if he didn't follow her he would lose her forever. He followed her to the train station and thought that he missed her. They were sitting back to back and didn't know it. He told her that he loved her, wanted her back and most importantly he didn't care what others would say about him. She didn't believe him. So in front of the whole train station, with everyone starting at them, he got up on a bench and announced that he loved her and asked her to marry him. Naphat hesitated for awhile, then said yes. They hugged and everyone in the train station was cheering for them, including Nan and Yuit.
